Be emancipated. held an inter-sectoral meeting on the project &#039;<strong>VIVIENNA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Project &#039;<strong>VIVIEN - Victim VIolence Educational Network, An educational project to improve the ability to assist women victims of violence&#039;<\/strong> Its primary focus is the prevention and suppression of violence against women through the work and education of experts from the system - police, judiciary, medicine, education and social services; but also those who are just starting to study for the aforementioned professions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In its first stages, the project aims to identify and describe existing practices within the system in order to design a series of training sessions to improve the existing competencies of employees in departments dealing with the prevention, suppression and\/or sanctioning of violence against women and domestic violence. For the project to be successful, cooperation with relevant institutions, associations and institutions that are working or could work in any way on the prevention, suppression and sanctioning of violence against women and domestic violence is essential.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The intersectoral meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior, the Zagreb Police Department, the Police Academy, the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, the Health Polytechnic in Zagreb, the Judicial Academy, the City Office for Social Protection and Persons with Disabilities, the Administrative Department for Health and Social Welfare of the Zagreb County, the Croatian Association of Social Workers, the Croatian Chamber of Nurses, the Zagreb Center for Social Welfare, the Association for Victim and Witness Support, and representatives of other civil society organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The project leader is the Italian association Giolli Cooperativa Sociale, and the partners are: BaBe, Associazione Centro Antiviolenza di Parma (Italy), Eyes 4 Pawes (Bulgaria) and SvSv Kiril i Methodij (Bulgaria), as well as the universities Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Parma (Italy) and SAMK - Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
