{"id":2128,"date":"2019-09-24T10:46:55","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T08:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/https:\/\/babe.hr\/\/1182-preventivnim-programom-lily-obiljezen-nacionalni-dan-borbe-protiv-nasilja-nad-zenama\/"},"modified":"2021-08-02T22:08:27","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T20:08:27","slug":"1182-preventivnim-programom-lily-obiljezen-nacionalni-dan-borbe-protiv-nasilja-nad-zenama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/babe.hr\/en\/1182-preventivnim-programom-lily-obiljezen-nacionalni-dan-borbe-protiv-nasilja-nad-zenama\/","title":{"rendered":"National Day Against Violence Against Women Marked with &#039;Lily&#039; Preventive Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, September 23, 2019, at the Vidra Theater, with a special program of the project<strong> &quot;Lily&quot;<\/strong> The Ministry of Internal Affairs is marked <strong>National Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>After the speeches by the Chief of Police Nikola Milin, Assistant Minister of Justice <strong>Vedrana Simundza Nikolic<\/strong>, Deputy President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia <strong>Marina Mr\u010dele<\/strong>, followed by a dramatic performance<strong> &#039;Speak&#039;<\/strong> academic actors with a performance by the Emergency Police, and a musician <strong>Marin Ivanovic Stoka<\/strong> he performed his song <strong>&#039;Lily&#039;<\/strong> dedicated to all women, victims of violence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;The Lily Project, through a series of multi-modular activities aimed at raising awareness among citizens, aims to improve mechanisms for preventing and stopping all forms of gender-based violence, especially violence against women.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the Lily project, the Borovo factory, which celebrated its 88th birthday this year, together with &quot;La Donna&quot;, produced a special model of Startas sneakers designed with the aim of promoting public awareness of the importance of a life free from violence, gender equality and equity. <\/p>\n<p>The project, as well as the Lily sneakers, are named after judge Ljiljana Hvalec, who was killed on September 22, 1999, in a tragic attack by a male perpetrator. In addition to her, lawyer Hajra Prohi\u0107 and the perpetrator&#039;s ex-wife Gordana Ora\u0161ki\u0107 were also killed, and the recorder Stanka Cvetkovi\u0107 was seriously injured.
