The goal of the project, which began in 1995, is to map the representation of women and men in the world&#039;s news media. For this purpose, 1,281 newspapers, television and radio stations and an Internet portal were monitored, i.e. 16,734 newspaper articles, 20,769 anchors, announcers and journalists and a total of 35,543 people in the news.
