All forms of expression that share, encourage, promote or justify racial hatred, xenophobia, anti-Semitism or any other form of hatred based on intolerance, including aggressive nationalism, ethnocentrism, discrimination and hostility towards minorities, immigrants or persons of foreign origin. When hate speech is directed at women based on their gender, we label it as gender-based hate speech, and it occurs in several forms.

• Hate speech campaigns - often effectively organized, in which the same victim or group of victims is simultaneously targeted by multiple perpetrators
• Sexist hate speech - spreading, inciting, promoting or justifying hatred based on gender
• Publishing and sharing violent content - consists of portraying women as sexual objects or content where women are victims of violence
• Sexist and offensive comments - abuse of women for expressing their own views or refusing courtship
• Encouraging women to commit suicide
