The Vukovar-Srijem County Safe House was opened in July 2008 in cooperation with the Vukovar-Srijem County as a result of our efforts to provide existential protection and psychosocial support to victims of gender-based violence.
In addition to providing accommodation for women victims of domestic violence and their children within the Safe House, our professional team made up of a social worker, a psychologist and a sociologist, provides psychosocial support, while our pravni tim provides the necessary legal information and advice.
The maximum length of stay in the Safe House is one year. Stoga naše stručne suradnice ulažu velike napore kako bi, u tom relativno kratkom periodu, žrtvama nasilja pružile adekvatnu pomoć u prevladavanju proživljenih trauma, vraćanju samopouzdanja te podršku u procesu osamostaljenja, pronalasku zaposlenja i stana.
The Safe House can accommodate a total of twelve women and eight children, primamo osobe s all over Croatia. The house is excellently equipped and very well secured, which greatly contributes to our residents' sense of safety.
