Project description:

Project "HELPLINE" aims to improve the support system for victims of violence by encouraging multidisciplinary cooperation between experts from different institutions as a basis for raising their capacities and the capacities of persons who work directly with victims, along with establishment of a national SOS line through which emotional support and primary legal information will be provided to women victims of gender-based violence.

Through the cooperation of 80 judicial practitioners and police officers, 32 social welfare system workers, 48 human rights defenders, 32 health workers and 6 gender equality experts, a public policy proposal will be developed in line with European Union directives. The basis for the public policy proposal, manual for experts, training and protocols for action will be the results of the conducted analysis and research, study tour and focus groups. Workshops and training will be used to train 48 volunteers who will volunteer on the SOS line, and the implementation of a public campaign will influence raising public awareness and changing discriminatory attitudes and patterns of behavior.
