On the occasion National Day Against Peer Violence, which is celebrated on the last Wednesday in February, BaBe, as an association that fights against all types of violence, has prepared a series of workshops and education sessions intended for primary school students this year.
Education and workshops "Fight - or - run away?.. or?" will be held at Voltino Elementary School and Ljubljanica Elementary School.
Through interactive workshops, children will learn how to recognize peer violence, what its forms are, how to react and who to turn to. The goal of the workshop is to guide students to critically think and come to the conclusion that no form of violence is justified, and to encourage non-violent thinking and empathy in children through inclusive activities. The purpose of the education is to develop awareness of the existence of unequal opportunities in society. It is important for students to develop an understanding of the possible consequences that an individual can have due to belonging to a certain minority or social group.
