On the occasion of the National Day against Peer Violence, the so-called 'Pink T-Shirt Day', which is celebrated on the last Wednesday in February, BaBe held a workshop at the Julija Klovića Elementary School in Zagreb. The interactive workshop was held for students and third graders, and the focus was on recognizing, preventing and combating peer violence.
The goal of the workshop was to guide students to critically think and come to the conclusion that no form of violence is justified, and to encourage non-violent thinking and empathy in children through inclusive activities. The purpose of the education is to develop awareness of the existence of unequal opportunities in society. It is important for students to develop an understanding of the possible consequences that an individual can have due to belonging to a certain minority or social group.
