Be emancipated. was visited by representatives Women's Resource Center of Armenia Gohar Shahnazaryan, Tatevik Aghabekyan, Siranush Davtyan and Lara AharonianExperts on women's rights and victims of gender-based violence from an Armenian civil society organization are co-founders of the Human Rights House in Yerevan, and during a study visit to Zagreb, they strengthened their own capacities for working with women victims of violence by exchanging good practices, knowledge and experiences. 
Women's Resource Center of Armenia activists met some of the members Human Rights House Zagreb on Monday, where after presenting their own social and political context, they shared experiences and examples of resistance with Croatian civil society organizations. Through an interactive meeting with Center for Peace Studies, Human Rights House Zagreb, Document and At dawn They gained insight into the functioning of Croatian civil society. The organizations discussed the challenges and obstacles they face, as well as potential solutions.
Armenian human rights defenders and members of the BaBe Association met with the representatives Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy and Ministry of JusticeThe goal of the meetings was to introduce Armenian activists to the competent institutions and existing mechanisms for the protection of human rights in the Republic of Croatia, with an emphasis on women's human rights.
Head of the Victim and Witness Support Service at the Ministry of Justice, Nikica Hamer Vidmar, introduced the visitors from Armenia to the institutional framework and how to help women victims of violence within the system, while Maja Štahan, coordinator of the National Call Center for Victims of Crime and Misdemeanors, together with BaBe representative Petra Kontić, presented the HELPLINE project, which is funded by the European Commission and implemented by the BaBe Association.
Meeting with representatives and representatives Ombudspersons for Gender Equality and Office for Human Rights and National Minorities they gained an impression of the areas of activity and activities that your institutions carry out for the purpose of advocating for the respect of human rights and preventing their violations.
The BaBe association also organized meetings with Office for NGOs and National Foundation for Civil Society Development, where Armenian activists had the opportunity to learn about the methods and possibilities of financing civil society in Croatia.

Members Gender Equality Commission of the City of Zagreb hosted the Armenian delegation and the BaBe Association at the City Assembly, where they were shown how efforts are being made to ensure gender equality at the local level, within the decision-making system.
Gohar Shahnazaryan, Tatevik Aghabekyan, Siranush Davtyan and Larom Aharonian, together with the BaBes, spoke to representatives of civil society associations that are not members of the House of Human Rights: Association for Support of Victims and Witnesses, Women's Room and Center for Women's Studies. 
The "Hand in Hand for Victims of Gender-Based Violence" project is designed to include study visits to Zagreb and Yerevan during November and December 2018, including meetings with representatives of state institutions responsible for providing support to victims of gender-based violence, civil society organizations of a similar profile, and workshops to familiarize organizations with the country's institutional framework, existing protection mechanisms, and stakeholders.
