Program manager Providing existential protection and psychosocial support to women victims of violence and their children in the Vukovar-Srijem County area, BaBe Association, Master of Sociology Ivana Sucic, was elected head of the County Team for Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence.
On May 9, 2019, in Vukovar, in the small county hall of Vukovar-Srijem County, a constituent meeting of the County Team was held. Ana Kirin, B.A. social worker, Vinkovci Social Welfare Center, was elected as the deputy head of the County Team, and Mica Hadžić, B.A. law, Vukovar-Srijem County State Administration Office, was elected as the secretary of the County Team.
Tasks of the County Team for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence:
- improving the system of protection against violence against women and domestic violence in the local community through interdepartmental cooperation
- adoption of the annual work plan
- participation in joint training programs and preventive activities
- keeping records of activities
- adoption of the work report for the previous year and its submission to the National Team.
Ivana Sučić has been working in the organization BaBe Budi aktivna. Budi emancipiran since 2008. in the position of head of the program Providing existential protection and psychosocial support to women victims of violence and their children in the Vukovar-Srijem County (Safe House). In this position, she gained all the necessary knowledge and experience that makes her highly competent in the field of gender equality and gender-based violence. Sučić is a member of the Commission for Gender Equality of the Vukovar-Srijem County, and was also an active member of the working group for the development of the National Strategy for Protection from Domestic Violence 2017-2022.
