Police Directorate, in collaboration with the company Borovo, June 10, 2019, with the support of City of Vukovar and Vukovar-Srijem County and other partners, including BaBe Association, will organize a drama and music event with a rich program where they will present National prevention project Lily.
The project is aimed at preventing violence against women and raising awareness among citizens about the issue itself, but also at empowering women in recognizing forms of gender-based violence and the importance of reporting it to the competent state bodies.
The Lily sneakers are named after the judge. Lilijane Hvalec, who was killed on September 22, 1999, during a preliminary hearing in a divorce case at the Municipal Court in Zagreb. In addition to her, lawyer Hajra Prohić and the perpetrator's ex-wife Gordana Oraškić were also killed, and the recorder Stanka Cvetković was seriously wounded.
