On the occasion of the National Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, representatives BaBe Associations attended the expert meeting "Violence in society - a source of stress and trauma and/or a professional challenge for experts", organized by the Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy.
The Minister of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy addressed the attendees. Vesna Bedeković which emphasized that violence is a grave violation of women's fundamental human rights - the right to life, security, dignity, physical and emotional integrity.
Marina Ajdukovic held a presentation entitled "The importance of interdepartmental cooperation in protection against violence for the empowerment of all experts" highlighted the importance of interdepartmental cooperation in the prevention and fight against violence. The importance of interdepartmental cooperation was also the topic of the presentation of the Ministry of the Interior, whose representative she is Ana Jedlicko spoke. National Day to Combat Violence Against Women is marked in memory of three women killed at the Zagreb Municipal Court on September 22, 1999, when a husband killed his wife, a judge, a lawyer, and seriously injured a court reporter during a divorce case.
