BaBe, in partnership with the associations "GORD" from Dalj and "Delfin" from Pakrac, are implementing a project funded by the EU within the framework of the program European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), under the title: "Bridges over turbulent waters: the meeting of majority and minority voices on the air".
The project aims to raise awareness about the rights of minorities (especially the Serbian national minority), their needs and specific role in local communities, and to encourage communication and cooperation between the majority and minority groups in Slavonia - the region that suffered the most in the war. Increasing the media representation of ethnic minorities on local radio stations would continue to establish a tolerant, inclusive and diverse society.
During the implementation of the project so far, we have successfully established cooperation with 7 local radio stations (Croatian Radio Vukovar, Radio Osijek, Slavonian Radio, Radio Vallis Aurea, County Radio Požega, Radio Daruvar and Radio 101), which together designed the name and structure of the half-hour show.
The first radio show about national minorities, called KVAKA 22, began broadcasting on Radio 101. The show aired on Monday, September 13th at 6:45 PM. KVAKA 22, produced by Radio 101, is available on http://www.radio101.hr/emisije/drustveno-politicke/kvaka-22/podcast.
Radio 101 will broadcast the remaining 7 shows every other Monday (27.09.; 11.10.; 25.10.; 08.11.; 22.11.; 06.12.) at the same time - 18:45, ending at 20.12.
Radio Osijek forbegins broadcasting the show about national minorities KVAKA 22 in Monday, September 20th starting at 6:25 PM. According to the two-week schedule, the shows will air every other Monday at the same time (20.9.; 4.10.; 18.10.; 1.11.; 15.11.; 29.11.)
Croatian Radio Vukovar will begin broadcasting the show about national minorities KVAKA 22 on Monday, September 20th starting at 4 p.m. and will broadcast the show every other Monday at the same time, ending on December 27th. The next schedule of broadcasts on Croatian Radio Vukovar is: 27.09.; 11.10.; 25.10.; 08.11.; 13.12.)
In the radio program "Golden Valley"The first episode of Catch 22" goes on September 21st at 4:00 PM and so on every two weeks, ending on December 28th. The next broadcast schedule on Radio Valis Aurea is October 5th; October 19th; November 2nd; November 16th; November 30th.
Slavonian Radio broadcasts a total of 12 shows on KVAKA 22, continuously from 22.09. until December 8th each Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m..
Radio Daruvar will broadcast the first show of KVAKA 22 in Wednesday 22.09. starting at 17.30. Radio Daruvar will also broadcast shows every other Wednesday, ending on December 1st, at the same time - 5:30 PM. The next schedule of shows on Radio Daruvar is (October 6th; October 20th; November 3rd; November 17th)
