On October 17, 2011, at the House of Human Rights, Selska 112 c, BaBe and the House will mark the International Day for the Fight against Poverty by distributing packages with the most basic foodstuffs and goods, starting at 11 a.m. In cooperation with the Trešnjevka Social Welfare Center and the Local Community, thanks to numerous donations from companies, the collected products and goods (sugar, oil, clothing, etc.) will be distributed to the poor. This is a drop in the ocean of poverty that surrounds us, and that is why we need to seriously talk about the causes of increasing poverty in the world and in our country, and persistently fight against the ever-increasing and ruthless division into the shamelessly rich and the unacceptably poor. The following will greet those gathered: Luka Mađerić, Head of the Office for Human Rights of the Republic of Croatia, Višnja Fortuna, Head of the Office for Social Welfare and Persons with Disabilities of the City of Zagreb, representative of the Trešnjevka Social Welfare Center, and Sanja Sarnavka, BaBe!
