More and more people are seeking legal advice and psychological help
The new government does not even mention the Law on Free Legal Aid, which civil society organizations have criticized since its inception, because it is quite clear that its purpose was not to make free legal aid available to as many poor citizens as possible. Complicated forms to fill out, proof of financial status, small fees for lawyers who accept this form of representation, all of this makes the Law very ineffective. BaBe did not even apply for funding to provide free legal aid, but finds funding through other projects.
The need for free legal advice is shown by the fact that in the last five months, the waiting time for an appointment for in-person legal advice in BaBa has been getting longer. Today, we know that the next 4 weeks are already full. In addition, legal advisors answer written inquiries and provide telephone consultations.
When and how this problem will be solved, we can only wait for the moves of those responsible in the Government. Until when? We don't know.
