On Thursday, April 11, 2013, we had the honor and pleasure of speaking with a large delegation from Serbia who were interested in the state of gender equality in Croatia. The delegation included: Tamara Lukšić Orlandić, Deputy Citizens' Protector for Children's Rights and Gender Equality, her colleague Dragana Grabovica, members of the Council for Gender Equality of the Citizens' Protector Marijana Pajvancic (Head of the Gender Equality Council, Citizens' Protector Serbia), Djurdjica Ergic, Member of the Gender Equality Council, Citizens' Protector Serbia (Roma Women Activist, coordinator of the CSO Bibija), Sonja Stojanovic Gajic (Member of the Gender Equality Council, Citizens' Protector Serbia (President of the CSO Belgrade Center for Security Policy) and Vanja Macanovic, Member of the Gender Equality Council, Citizens' Protector Serbia (Lawyer of the CSO Autonomous Women Centre) who are representatives of civil society, Deputy for Gender Equality of the Provincial Ombudsman Ms. Danica Todorov and her colleague Andrijana Čović, a lawyer as well as two people from the OSCE Mission in Serbia Jelena Jokanovic, National Program Officer and Zorana Antonijevic, National Program Officer.
They were interested in what BaBe does and what problems they deal with. The conversation was pleasant and successful. We hope for possible future cooperation with some of the civil society organizations or institutions from Serbia.
