The Babe Association is implementing the project "We act locally, but clearly, competently and loudly" in partnership with local associations. Legalina from Gračac and Youth in the EU from Šibenik.
The project activities are being implemented in Šibenik-Knin and Zadar counties and the goal is to raise the level of knowledge and skills of local civil society organizations in public advocacy and influencing policies in order to establish sustainable and quality decision-making processes that enable easier employment and social inclusion of the most vulnerable groups in the labor market - unemployed young people, women and people with disabilities.
Along with a series of educational workshops, the central activity is Creative Ideas Fair where successful and innovative entrepreneurial ventures of creative citizens from all over Croatia will be presented. The fair aims to encourage employment by sharing the experiences of those who have managed to turn their creative ideas into successful entrepreneurial projects. Fair participants will have the opportunity to see examples of good practice and hear the experiences of others, thereby increasing their chances on the labor market and in the world of entrepreneurship.
We want to encourage the citizens of Knin, Obrovac, Šibenik and Gračac, and surrounding areas, to dare to start family farms, small businesses or home crafts. Therefore, at the end of September, we will organize a Creative Ideas Fair, where people who dreamed, dared and succeeded in achieving economic independence through their own efforts will be presented.
Visitors to the Fair will have the opportunity to hear and see examples of good practice from individuals and civil society organizations that have successfully implemented innovative ideas for self-employment and effective social entrepreneurship.
Creative ideas fairs will be held September 27, 2014 in Gračac and September 28, 2014 in Šibenik, and will be attended by exhibitors and visitors from Gračac, Šibenik, Knin and Obrovac, and in order to enable visitors and participants from nearby towns to be inspired and motivated, we will also provide transportation from their towns.
In addition to gaining insight into examples of good practice and gaining first-hand experience of successfully implemented projects, these Fairs are also an opportunity for local authorities and institutions to learn how to establish mechanisms that will enable the development and success of similar projects within their local communities.
The fairs are designed as events that serve as motivation for concrete action by individuals and associations that have not yet dared to sail into the sea of (social) entrepreneurship.
We want event participants, after visiting the Creative Ideas Fair, to be motivated to start their own self-employment because they will truly gain all the necessary insights and lessons from people/organizations that are already successfully implementing their entrepreneurial projects.
With this event, we will show that change is possible in local communities, if individuals and/or local civil society organizations create their own opportunities and initiate projects that will lead to employment and social inclusion.
The project "We act locally, but clearly, competently and loudly" within which this activity is being implemented is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund, through the program "Support to civil society organizations' programs in the field of advocacy and motivation for socially excluded groups", within the framework of IPA IV. Component "Human Resources Development".
