At the round table we would present and discuss with interested representatives assessment of the work of the new government in relation to the requirements of Platform 112 which brings together around sixty leading civil society organizations focused on the irreversibility of all reforms resulting from the negotiations in Chapter 23, but also much more broadly, for the purpose of real and lasting rule of law in Croatia. We would place special emphasis in the discussion on the importance of strengthening the role of the Croatian Parliament in the development of participatory democracy and oversight of reforms resulting from negotiations with the EU, in light of the announced changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Croatian Parliament.
Round table "Presentation of the Platform 112 Report on the work of the new government in the first 112 days" is one of the activities within the project 1000 WHY about the EU funded by the IPA INFO program of the European Union, which would be attended by members of parliament, representatives of the Government, civil society and the international community (the EU Delegation has already expressed interest).
The Platform 112 report on the work of the new government in the first 112 days will be presented on Friday, April 20, 2012, in the Croatian Parliament, Ivan Mažuranić Hall, starting at 10:00, and the expected duration is 2 hours.
The meeting will be opened by Ambassador Paul Vandoren, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Croatia. With the aim of making the discussion as meaningful and high-quality as possible, we have provided presenters (civil society organizations - members of Platform 112) who will present individual parts of the report on the work of the new government in the first 112 days.
Please accept our invitation and contribute to the discussion as a participant. We kindly ask you to confirm your participation Milana Romić at milana.romic@gmail.hr or by phone at 091 33 777 42 with your ID number (for registration in the Croatian Parliament) no later than Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 12 noon.
We look forward to your arrival.
