BaBe Association Be active. Be emancipated. organizes Round table as part of the project "puSHEd – protect, understand, support: help the elderly", which began implementation on June 1, 2022. The project was funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values program of the European Union.
The aim of the project is to prevent and combat gender-based violence against older women by developing gender-specific responses in providing support to victims and building the capacity of relevant experts from the protection and support system. The project is also aimed at raising awareness of the general population and improving the community's response to gender-based violence against older women, primarily by increasing the number of reports of violence, but also by preventing it. The project in question is being implemented by the BaBe association in partnership with The City of Zagreb, the Zajednički put Foundation and the Home for Children and Adult Victims of Domestic Violence "Duga-Zagreb", and with the support of the Ombudsman, the Association for Support to Victims and Witnesses, and the European Social Network.
The round table is the first project activity organized with the aim of presenting the project, but also raising awareness about the problem of violence against older women. The round table will be held in Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Kaptol 27 (Zagreb City Hall) starting at 1 p.m.and.
