Project description:
The project "Hand in hand for victims of gender-based violence" is aimed at improving the conditions and quality of life of survivors of gender-based violence through improving the social service system. The goal set in this way is intended to be achieved by strengthening the capacities of experts who work directly with victims of violence, exchanging good advocacy practices and knowledge, and through cooperation between two civil society organizations during 2 study visits to Croatia and Armenia.
Study visits to Zagreb and Yerevan during November and December 2018 will include meetings with representatives of state institutions responsible for providing support to victims of gender-based violence, civil society organizations of a similar profile, and workshops through which organizations will be introduced to the institutional framework of the partner country, existing protection mechanisms, stakeholders, and during which new advocacy strategies for improving the social service system and ratification of the Istanbul Convention will be developed.
The partner in this project is a member of the House of Human Rights Armenia, the feminist organization Women's Resource Center of Armenia (WRC Armenia), and the project holder is us, the association BaBe
