Project description:
The SURF&SOUND 2.0 project (Support, Unite, Respond, Fight to Stop Online violence) is a continuation of the project launched in March 2021 with the aim of raising awareness about the prevalence of online violence against women and forming mechanisms for its prevention and suppression. The BaBe association is implementing it in partnership with the Agency for Electronic Media and the Police Directorate and the Judicial Academy as associated partners. The target group of the project is women, i.e. potential victims and victims of online violence, experts working on the suppression and prevention of violence (primarily police officers, judges and state attorneys) and the general public. The project's objectives are to improve the established mechanisms for the prevention and suppression of online violence - through the work of the NEON platform - No! Online Violence, free psychological and legal assistance services in cooperation with a telecommunications expert, support as a trusted person and education of experts who work with victims and perpetrators of online violence, as well as raising awareness of the general public about the occurrence and prevalence of various forms of online violence.
