Project description:
The UZOR project - we learn together, we observe, we react was carried out in cooperation with the Volunteer Center of Vukovar-Srijem County, the Županja High School and the Županja Social Care Center. The main goal of the project was to strengthen awareness of the value of volunteering and provide structured support for volunteering in the local community with an emphasis on youth volunteering. The title of the project, MODEL - we learn together, observe, react, reflects not only a specific volunteer program, but also a broader attempt to network different stakeholders who can timely spot needs and problems and react together, come up with solutions and, through coordinated action, contribute to the engagement of citizens in their community.
The "Be a Role Model" program was designed and adopted, which provides a concrete volunteer program that will increase the quality of life and school success of children in foster families and represents a valuable step towards creating a positive image of foster care, better integration of foster children, and opens up space for connecting volunteers, children from foster families, schools, parents, foster parents, and social welfare centers.
