The BaBe Association, in its counseling center, founded back in 1994, has been recording a year-on-year trend of increasing the number of citizens from all parts of Croatia who contact us due to problems related to divorce and extramarital unions, parental care of children, and the implementation of certain aspects of parental care - such as changing the place of residence for a child, which often includes inquiries regarding moving to other countries or the return of one parent to the Republic of Croatia, changing the child's personal name, obtaining personal documents, enrolling in kindergarten or school, changing schools, methods of treatment, legal support, property relations, and many other issues, from which we have selected the most frequent ones and created a manual with templates that users can use when addressing the court, especially in situations where they do not have enough time to obtain free legal aid due to the need for urgent action.

The manual was developed as part of the project "Providing primary legal assistance to victims of domestic violence and other discriminated and socially vulnerable groups" with financial support from the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia.

This document describes the problem and defines policy guidelines in relation to the adoption of a comprehensive demographic public policy with a clear framework for harmonizing the family and professional obligations of men and women.

The premiere of our documentary "Distorted Reflections" was held at the EXIT Theater on February 6, 2001. During the year, the film was shown at numerous domestic and foreign forums and conferences, in student centers and schools. It was duplicated and distributed worldwide with English subtitles. We reacted to sexism in advertising and designed and hosted the radio show "Monthly" on Family Radio. The first show, which we recorded and edited in its entirety, was broadcast on April 17, 2001. The aim of the show is to show, through a practical example, how interesting and informative programs that do not discriminate against women can be created in a gender-sensitive manner. We talked about pension funds and health care and their significance for women, women's participation in politics and in the local elections in May 2001, anorexia and bulimia, we presented several peace and women's NGOs, and we also had a quiz with associations where we had to guess which famous woman from Croatian history we were talking about.
