On the occasion National Day Against Peer Violence, which is celebrated on the last Wednesday in February, BaBe, as an association that fights against all types of violence, has prepared a series of workshops and training courses intended for primary school boys and girls this year.
So this year we held an interactive workshop "Fight - or - run away?.. or?" through which we taught elementary school students how to recognize peer violence, what its forms are, how to react and who to turn to.
Education and workshops "Fight - or - run away?.. or?" We held a seminar for eighth grade students at Ljubljanica Elementary School on Friday, March 2nd, and for sixth grade students at Voltino Elementary School on Tuesday, March 6th.
We successfully conducted interactive workshops and education in all three grades. We managed to guide students to critically think and come to the conclusion that no form of violence is justified, and through inclusive activities, we encouraged children to think non-violently and be empathetic.
Also, through education, we tried to encourage students to develop an awareness of the existence of unequal opportunities in society and to develop an understanding of the possible consequences that an individual may have due to belonging to a certain minority or social group.
In this way, we emancipated, actively and joyfully celebrated the National Day of the Fight against Peer Violence and, we hope, introduced non-violent forms of communication among students and an increase in togetherness, peace and understanding.
